동명사의 시제

일반동명사 - 동명사 구문이 속해 있는 문장의 술어의 시제와 일치

완료동명사 - 동명사 구문이 속해 있는 문장의 술어보다 한 시제 앞섬. 형태 : having + 동사

 

일반동명사

He is proud of (helping poor people). 

= He is(현재) proud that he helps(현재) poor people.

 

완료동명사

He is proud of (having helped poor people).

= He is(현재) proud that he helped(과거) poor people.
