<1> 분사구문이 주절 앞에 올 때 : 분사구문(종속절) + 주절

그는 시골에 살고 있기 때문에 찾아오는 사람들이 거의 없다.

원래문장 : As he lives in the country, he has few visitors.

줄인문장(분사구문 이용) : Living in the country, he has few visitors.

종속절 : living in the country

해설 : 종속절 living in the coutry는 주절의 동사 has를 수식한다. 동사를 수식하면, 부사다. 그러므로 living in the country는 부사절이다. '이유'를 나타내는 부사절.

관계절 : standing on a hill
